[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=background,http://i52.tinypic.com/4rdnx3.jpg,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true] ☆ LEVELS & EVOLUTION for those who were a member of destins infinis, the site's leveling system has changed quire drastically. rather than being based on moves, leveling is based on battles as a whole. it's much simpler for both members and staff to keep track of a pokémon's level, and happens to be much easier to level up than the site's high requirements previously. for winning a battle fairly, a pokémon will gain one level. however, if the battle was written exceptionally well, a mod may choose to award a pokémon two or more levels, based on exactly how well the battle was written. if you lose the battle, the pokemon will gain half of what you would have gotten if you had won. if multiple pokemon were used in the battle, the amount of levels will be split up accordingly and rounded up to the ones place. so yes, it's possible that the losing pokemon might gain more levels than the winning side. it's as simple as that. gives you more incentive to write well, does it not? we would certainly hope so. ;D remember that the battle system isn't limited to just the moves. you are allowed to use abilities and surroundings to your liking. for example, a meowth with claws might scratch at his enemy to cause damage, but it wouldn't be as strong as if it used a scratch attack. a pokemon without any attacking moves might be able to win if the trainer uses the surrounding nature to their advantage. however, the idea of a caterpie defeating a steelix is still a little far-fetched. now, onto evolution. as there are several types of evolutions, we saw fit to address them all to avoid confusion later along the line. if you still have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact a staff member to clear things up. level evolutions are conducted as per their normal fashion. the pokémon levels up, you evolve them in a thread, and then you can update your pc with the evolved pokémon. item evolutions are the same as normal too. just get the necessary item for evolution, fulfill any other requirements if necessary, and then evolve the pokémon in a thread. happiness evolutions require a pokémon to be out of its pokéball and not battling for 20 posts (keep track of this in your academy log). after you have met this requirement, you may evolve the pokémon in a thread. trade evolutions are the same as in the games, the same as leveling and items. just post a thread in the trade center describing the situation, and someone will help you out. this is a trade that must be done in character, however, though posts must only be 100 words. eevee to glaceon requires the eevee to level up while holding a special stone called the frozen rock and evolve the eevee in a thread. eevee to leafeon requires the eevee to level up while holding a special stone called the moss rock and evolve the eevee in a thread. magneton to magnezone or nosepass to probopass requires the pokémon to level up while holding a special stone called the mt. coronet stone and evolve the pokémon in a thread. feebas to milotic requires the feebas to hold an item called the beauty scarf and make the feebas an active part of 20 posts (keep track of this in your pc). wurmple to silcoon or cascoon requires you simply to choose which you'd like to evolve it into and evolve the pokémon in a thread once it reaches level 7. the timing is so precise it could be considered random; hence, we're not very picky. this also applies to tyrogue at level 20. night and day requires you to simply role play a thread during either the night or the day, and have already met any other additional requirements (if applicable) and then evolve the pokémon in the thread.
