SPAM it's common knowledge not to double post unless where called for, such as pcs. also considered spam are posts that have no real relevance to a topic, or relate nothing to the conversation at hand, etc. etc. we're sure you're all smart enough to follow this rule. RUDENESS there is no excuse to be mean to another member for any reason. if it's truly an issue, discuss it over pm, or even talk to a staff member if necessary. we expect (and enjoy!) in character drama, but one should never, ever cause drama for the site out of character. COMPLAINING we've all had those sites where someone comes in just to insult the site and then leaves, or simply just complaining to other members. it's rude and disrespectful; the staff at stars work hard to give you what you see here. just keep it to yourself, okay? PLAGIARISM this should be pretty self-explanatory. if you are caught stealing anything from character profiles to artwork and claiming it as your own, you will be banned. we refuse to tolerate thievery in any form. GODMODING & POWERPLAYING we all remember this rule from the beginning of our roleplay experiences, whether it was on neopets or any other site. please don't make your character all powerful. they are not the supreme rulers of all pokemon and cannot defeat someone else with a flick of their finger. also, no powerplaying. please don't try and control another person's character without their permission first. WILD POKEMON only, i repeat, only staff members have the power to make a wild pokémon appear in a role play. you can say that a school of goldeen swam by or a flock of pidgey flew over your head, but those pokémon cannot come to interact with you. then we'd have people catching whatever they'd like without fail. WORD COUNT stars is a literate site. that being said, we ask to make your posts a minimum of 300 words each; quality over quantity of course, but we appreciate quantity as well. there are so many ways you can lengthen your posts, and the more you type, the more someone can interact with you. THREAD LIMIT whereas destins infinis used to impose a thread limit, stars no longer has this restriction. it was simply one more restriction, and the staff find it quite unnecessary. however, if we believe you've got too many threads to handle, we'll tell you. MATURITY RATING a majority of content on stars is rated pg13. however, things do happen (it's only realistic), but unfortunately pg13 is the absolute limit for mature content. in order to obey proboards' terms of service, nothing over pg13 is allowed whatsoever. no, you may not cover it up with a lighter color, or write a disclaimer. sorry for the inconvenience. IMAGE SIZE please, please, please don't make your images larger than 500 pixels; they stretch the screen unnecessarily. it makes our lovely skin look less pretty, and we don't want that. avatars should be no larger than 150x250.
