"have you heard yet? someone told me that the alinia laboratory is experimenting with legendary pokémon, can you believe it?"
somehow, rumors escaped that the alinia laboratory managed to get ahold of legendary pokémon dna, and had been attempting the massive project of trying to clone the legends from which the dna samples were taken. the project was mildly successful, at first. the laboratory managed to create solid clones of several legendary pokémon, and were in the process of correcting their genetic makeup. but in a horrible explosion, the source of which was presumed to be one of the unstable clones, all of the unfinished clones escaped onto the island of aleus.
the laboratory staff urges that students be on the lookout for these clones, as they are highly dangerous and still very unstable. they are nearly three times as powerful as other pokémon their level; students are warned to be careful if they attempt to contain one of these unstable clones. the laboratory, does, however, encourage trying to contain these clones. in fact, they have offered the reward of a random level 10 restricted pokémon in exchange for successfully containing one. it is not well advised to attempt to contain an unstable clone with a pokémon under level 13. the laboratory confirms that there are five total unstable clones, and one has been contained thus far.
in order to contain an unstable clone, mods must first randomize a legendary pokémon, which will then appear as an "unstable _____ clone" at level 5 (whose power equates to roughly level 15). you must then defeat the clone, and post here when the clone has been defeated with a link to the thread where it was defeated in order to receive a restricted pokémon in exchange. note that you cannot catch unstable clones under any circumstances.
*also note that if more than one character participates in a containment, all characters that assisted in the containment will receive a reward. (aka, if a clone is randomized in threads with more than one character, only the clone will appear and all characters will have a chance to help contain it.)

unstable palkia clone was last sighted in the city ruins!
unstable heatran clone was last sighted in the magma fields!
unstable shaymin clone was last sighted at florentia cavern!
unstable articuno clone was contained in the ice caps!
one legendary clone has not yet made an appearance.

i figured this was a good enough place to let you guys know~~
mods! remember that these four legendaries are still on the loose! three have been sighted already (heatran, palkia, and shaymin), with one legendary clone still unknown. if any of these are randomised for a mod thread, let's get this thing going! c:
