UPDATE: student council?

so, i originally thought about bringing this up in the staff chat only, but then i decided that i'd like to have the opinions of the members too, since it will mainly concern you in the long run.

alright, so. today i was talking to the class president of my class, and it kind of struck me: phoex is a school. and as a school, it would make sense for them to have some sort of student council, right? so my question to you all then, is would you all want to go through the process of "electing" a student council?

we'd have to define a process of electing officers, and it would probably follow the typical setup of a student council; a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. and in character, these four characters would then play an explanation role of planning the events that the school has.

but yeah, this is a decision i want to leave up to the members, so please feel free to give your opinion here. in fact, that would be super awesome because then i know what you all think. 8D;

i think it sounds like a good idea. c: not sure how you'd do it though. would they be 'staff' per say, or just be able to be like "ohh, hey staff. look at this great idea we've come up with. wanna use it?" c: i'd like to see this happen, fer sure.

...it's in character. like a regular student council. it has nothing to do with the actual site ideas, other than being an in character explanation of sorts for events and planning; ie an event happens on the site and it'd be like, "thanks to your student council, we were able to have this event," in character just like a student council in normal schools, they're just kind of a reference for planning.

I don't know if I like this idea. Other than getting more people to role play, I guess, it doesn't seem to have much purpose. Are we going to run by our ideas for the site by the student council so they can role play it, or are they just going to make up events that we DON'T actually have on the site? It seems pretty pointless to me.

Unless they did like, mini events that we used, but ...

I'd be fine with it. My main question would be what would the positions entail, and how would they be gained? I guess we could sort of do what we do with the contests; like, make one thread to where everybody who would want a character to be in the running, could post a little post about that character applying and setting up posters, etc.

Then we set up a poll where people can vote, and then announce the winner(s). Or something, just an idea. ^^

Overall, I think it could be neat if somewhat boring.
